Lifebuoy’s print ad in Hindustan Times informs the readers to stay safe and take precautionary measures regarding the, WHO declared Global Health Emergency, Coronavirus. In a list of safety tips, the brand has very interestingly urged the readers to regularly wash their hands, mentioning the names of a number of competitor soaps also. We found this strategy to be the perfect example of sportsmanship and positive marketing.

The line in the advertisement states- “Please use any soap nearest to you. Not just Lifebuoy, but any soap like Lux, Dettol, Santoor, or Godrej No. 1.” Well, in a world which is competing every second, we think it was an amazing strategy to rise above the competition and still behave like a champion.
